The opening ceremony for 3^rd International Congress of Japan Studies in Iran titled as Challenges and Views in the changing World was held at Faculty of World Studies on Dec 19, in the presence of UT President, Parliament Cultural Commission Head, Japanese Minister Kazutushi Aikawa, Japanese Foundation Head Kazuo Gegura and a number of managers, professors and students. In this ceremony UT President referred to Japan experience in rebuilding economy and its success in creating a revolution in economic and political structures and educational system reforms. The congress will continue two days with lectures of scientific and cultural figures of the two countries. In addition, an exhibition of Japanese cultural products has been held in the place.
